QR Code Generator

Create QR codes for links and text, right in your browser.

The QR code appears here as you type.

Options

What this tool does

QR Code Generator turns a link or any text into a scannable QR code, entirely in your browser. Type or paste your content, tune the colors and error correction, then download the code as a crisp PNG or an infinitely scalable SVG.

How to use

  1. Type or paste a URL or any text above.
  2. Pick an error correction level and colors if you like.
  3. The QR code updates live as you type.
  4. Download it as PNG (pick a size) or SVG.

Notes

  • Everything runs locally — what you encode never leaves your device.
  • Higher error correction (Q/H) survives damage or an overlaid logo, but makes the code denser.
  • Keep enough contrast between the two colors, or scanners may struggle.

Frequently asked questions

Is the content I encode uploaded anywhere?

No. The QR code is computed entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, and there is no tracking or shortened redirect URL — the code contains exactly what you typed.

Which error correction level should I choose?

M (the default) is right for most uses. Choose Q or H if the code may get scratched or partially covered — for example when you place a logo over the center — at the cost of a denser pattern.

PNG or SVG — which should I download?

Use PNG for documents, chat, and most everyday uses. Use SVG for print or design work: it scales to any size without blurring.

Do these QR codes expire?

No. The code is static and encodes your text directly, so it works forever. If you encode a URL, the code stops being useful only if that page itself goes away.
